DAXAN Medical presented its complete urology product line at the show, with a focus on its proprietary HydroSAFE® hydrophilic intermittent catheter technology, as well as the Duro-Pocket® closed system catheter, ureteral stents (DJ Stent), guidewires, and drainage catheters.

Three New Product Prototypes Draw Significant Attention

A major highlight of DAXAN's presence at Hospitalar 2026 was the first-ever public showcase of three new urology catheter prototypes, each designed with a distinct configuration for different clinical scenarios. The products are currently at the prototype stage and have not yet been officially launched, but they drew considerable interest from urologists, procurement managers, and distributors during the show.

Multiple visitors expressed strong interest in obtaining formal samples once available, and several existing Brazilian partners requested priority access for clinical evaluation within their hospital networks upon product finalization.

"We brought these prototypes primarily to listen to real-world feedback from the Latin American market, so we can fine-tune the final version to local clinical needs," said the head of DAXAN Medical's International Trade Development Department. "The level of interest exceeded our expectations and confirmed we are moving in the right direction."

DAXAN indicated that sample availability for the three new products is progressing according to plan, and that partners who expressed interest during the show will be given priority access when samples are released. Further details will be announced in due course.

DAXAN's proprietary HydroSAFE® hydrophilic coating technology was a focal point of professional discussions at the booth. The coating forms a durable lubricious layer on the catheter surface, significantly reducing friction during insertion, minimizing urethral trauma, and improving patient comfort.

Multiple urologists and procurement professionals who tested the products on-site commented positively on the coating durability and handling characteristics.
